After I finished shooting a “save the date” shoot, I was too tired to break the set down and left it up. I had props laying everywhere and decided to throw Calvin in the mix. Well let’s just say that this was a win win situation for us all!

I get the biggest damn smile when I see these photos…

Calvin got his first taste of sugar and we had to back him off of it as his eyes were starting to bulge out of his sockets… lol

The cookie was hilarious because he really didn’t care for it. He kept smashing it with his grip. All he wanted was to suck on his fingers but we pressured him anyways.
And the favorite, father like son… future photog but in the end, he will be my F-1 driving champion!

Methuse and I have been around the UCLA campus many times but we have never actually been on the campus. We were in for quite a surprise when we got on campus and starting looking around. I had no clue that UCLA actually had historic brick structures. I figured that USC had that luck but oh no… The Bruins campus is one of the nicest I have seen here on the west coast. As if that was not enough, the campus is surrounded by beautiful homes, stars, Beverly Hills, etc. They have a great off campus arena as well…. Reese Ditty FTW! Damn, I forgot to get a photo of Brandon chomping down on that ice cream cookie! White man = Ice Cream Cookie… lol

We spent about 90 mins on campus, mainly in awe. We probably only saw half the campus but no worries, we will be back soon. The campus is also very lively compared to USC. When we were on Trojan campus last weekend, it was dead. All areas of UCLA was packed with students, tourists, athletes, and skaters. There was a rugby game that was interesting but we couldnt get close enough to really get into it.

After we made our way to Reese Ditty, strolled Rodeo Dr and then had dinner at the Farmer’s Market by the Grove. Then we stopped by John’s for a quick BBQ after dinner! whew!

Tonight we wanted to get some seafood at The Boiling Crab in Garden Grove but by the time we got there, the wait was over 90 mins long! So Alice, Brandon, Methuse, Calvin and I went to sample Viet food all over Westminster. We ate a crap load and of course, Calvin slept through almost all of it. He usually is out cold from 6pm to 11pm. Then he wakes up Methuse all hours of the early morning. When we got to the local yogurt shop, we were able to get him to wake up. Uncle Brandon held him most of the time while Auntie Alice made strange faces at him. LOL

Calvin Calvin Calvin… this guy does not want to sleep. He keeps us up most of the night and all through the morning. He now loves gnawing on his fingers and fist more than the bottle. He loves to smile and he loves to flirt with the ladies. Oh what?! Flirt with the ladies… oh yes. He is a professional seducer… I kid you not. Just look into his eyes and see the warmth swarming inside your body… lol

Today we celebrated Calvin’s 100 days with food, friends and family. In typical Korean culture, families celebrate their children’s 100 days to show the passing of a very difficult period where the mortality rate was high in olden Korean times. Good thing Calvin has been a feeding monger, growing at an extremely fast rate. If you haven’t seen him in over a month, you might not recognize him.

With friends and family gathered, we had a very relaxed afternoon grilling steak and chicken kabobs with the addition of Filipino foods. Methuse’s mom brought tons of desserts in her true fashion and we also had some Korean rice cake desserts as well. Although this didn’t go very well for those that were not Korean. LOL

Towards the late afternoon, 30 minutes before everyone started leaving, Methuse was able to put Calvin down to sleep but I hadn’t taken the opportunity to take photos of him with everybody. So I did a quick setup and got everyone ready. Calvin didn’t get much sleep and was a bit cranky but we had to wake him up for the photos. So if he looks a bit pissed, well he was. LOL

USC USC USC! The east coast is fortunate enough to have buildings made of brick. Here in Los Angeles, it is rare to come across a brick building let alone an entire campus full of that beautiful red block. USC, the school of the mighty Trojans was the school of interest this week. There seemed to be lots of rumors going around about Pete Carroll leaving USC for the Seattle Seahawks and although it was all over the news, the campus was pretty quiet. Methuse and I took a stroll admiring the campus and found our way to the bookstore. We decided to collect college flags and look for Tommy Trojan to complete our being total tourists! Calvin slept through most of the stroll but was woken up by all the construction hammering.

It has been a very warm start of the new year. During the past two days, it has been in the 80′s during the day. It’s kind of scary to think how hot it’s going to be in the summer. In order make use of the great weather we had, we decided to visit the local college around here, Cal Poly Pomona. Then it dawned on us, we want to take Calvin around all the major universities to get him interested really early. Not saying that this would work but it sure doesn’t hurt!

So we found a nice quaint little spot by the CLA building, we think it was an old horse stable. Found some gorgeous palm trees and took a family photo. The last image is of him by the school name. We didn’t walk all over the school to look for a large sign (there really didn’t look like there was one). We hopes to be taking him to all the big schools and hopefully to the east coast as well. New York and Boston… we shall see you soon

btw, Methuse and I are ADDICTED to this boy… seriously, his faces makes us laugh our asses off…
